Urgent Job Opportunities 5 Positions MEP MAINTENANCE ENGINEER Facilities Management | Full-Time POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MEP Maintenance Engineer to manage the operations, preventive maintenance and lifecycle asset management of Grade-A commercial office facilities. The successful candidate will ensure high system reliability, minimal downtime, energy efficiency and statutory compliance across MEP and ELV/BMS systems, with specialist awareness of coastal environmental conditions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MEP Operations & Maintenance - PPM and reactive/corrective maintenance - HVAC, Chillers, AHUs, FCUs & VAVs - Electrical distribution, UPS & generators - Plumbing, drainage, stormwater & irrigation - Coastal corrosion & humidity mitigation Contractor & Vendor Management - Supervise FM contractors and OEM technicians - Monitor SLA & KPI performance - Review RAMS, Method Statements & PTW - Audit maintenance quality and close technical snags Energy & Sustainability - Monitor energy and water consumption through BMS - Improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs - Support sustainability and green-building initiatives Compliance & Emergency Response - Omani HSE and statutory compliance - Civil Defence fire-safety requirements - Emergency response and technical troubleshooting - Relevant electricity, municipality and authority standards Tenant & Asset Management - Tenant fit-out and MEP modification reviews - Testing & commissioning - Asset registers and lifecycle replacement planning - Tenant MEP complaint resolution within SLA TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 5–8 years post-qualification FM/MEP experience OSE Certification – preferred/required for local approval Grade-A commercial / luxury mixed-use / shopping-centre experience Strong BMS & centralized HVAC/Chiller expertise Fire Detection & Suppression systems CCTV / Access Control / ELV systems Elevators / Escalators Emergency Power Generators CAFM/CMMS, AutoCAD & MS Office Excellent English – written & spoken Arabic – significant advantage PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES - Coastal/marine environment experience - Knowledge of saline conditions & high humidity - Previous major development experience in Oman - Strong vendor negotiation & contractor management - Proactive technical problem-solving approach - Strong focus on reliability, energy performance & asset lifecycle. info. bcss.
